First of all I have to say I am really glad I found this site it has been really helpful for getting information about my celica.

My 97 Celica ST currently has two issues, im not sure if they are related though they started happening at about the same time. When I am in drive and hit the gas, it makes this clicking sound that increases in frequency the more I step on it. If I am in neutral and hit the gas, it doesnt make the sound.

The second issue is when I am breaking while its in drive (like at a stop sign) the whole car vibrates quite a bit. If I put it into neutral the shaking is drastically reduced.

So far I have changed the spark plugs and reset the ECU. Changing the spark plugs helped slightly with the idling but its still pretty bad.

I made a recording of the clicking sound and uploaded it here, you can here the clicking sound against the sound of the accelerating engine, especially towards the end of the file:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
