hey there... i have read posts on here but never asked anything before... i appreciate any advice in advance... I removed the timing belt and tensioner... there was only one bolt holding the tensioner (the one through the middle of it) but it appears that something is supposed to be holding it like a pin or something on the piece that is the arm attached to the spring... this is a 94 ST with the 7A-FE. Is there a pin missing that the tensioner arm is supposed to ride on??? or is there supposed to be a bolt through that part? there does not appear to be threads in the hole that it looks like it goes to. This is the first time I have taken it apart to replace the belt and it obviously has other problems because the tensioner wasn't functioning correctly...
I appreciate any help... I am trying to get this back together ASAP for work... |

Yes, there should be a pin in addition to the screw.

There is a pivot pin and spring, the bolt is used to secure tensioner bearing when correctly tensioned by the spring.
