"supreme" is usually the basecoat/clearcoat, right?
if so, look at whats coming out of theyre booth.
as to see some base/clear jobs, that havent been detailed.
that will let you know weather you should have it done at that maaco or not.
i would still got around to some other shops for estimates, and see what you come up with for figures.

sounds about right, for my car the supreme was like 890 at the one around me, worked out that id remove most all trim piece & lights prior & then reinstal myself, front & rear bumpers off. this repair included a good amount of dents across the hood, trunk, and drivers door, them putting on a good drivers side fender that i already have

i wouldn't say cheap paint. (thinking of batman and pressure's cars) just they service isn't as quality. you will want to do as much of the prepping as you can (if not all) b4 you send it to them. the are less expensive then everywhere else for a reason. from what i have read on the boards here that seems to be the verdict on maaco.
as for the prices i wouldn't be able to tell you what you should expect.
i hope it looks good when it's done. i would say it is probably worth making a trip to MA and see if you can get pressure2 to help you with it. biggrin.gif his work is top notch from what i have seen.
GL with what ever route you choose.

Don't go to maaco. really cheap paint.

can you name this "cheap paint" that all maacos, since you decide to blanket them all, use?
do you even know that maacos are independantly owned and operated?
dont dismiss maaco as an option, it all is a matter of doing your homework, and deciding on if and how much of the work you can afford to do yourself, or with the help of friends.
if you can afford to pay 2-5k+ on a REAL paint job, then its all a matter of how much you can afford to spend, and how much of the prep work you can do yourself.
even some really basic stuff, like removing your mirrors, mouldings, things like that, can make a 600$ maaco paint job look as good as a 1500$ run of the mill shop job.
now, thats not to say that there are NO bad maacos, i happen to work for one of the better ones in the area, and have one of the crappiest in the area less than 15 minutes from my house.
again, its just a matter of doing your homework, and being a smart consumer.
smile.gif
BTW, our particular maaco uses sherwin williams "ultra" line paint,(for basecoat/ clearcoat) which if you do a little research is actually a pretty decent paint. wink.gif

I did my homework on my local maaco. I did all the prep work myself and they charged me $1000. I am more than pleased with the results. Pictures dont do this paintjob justice.
