does it vibrate at higher speeds? and if you jack up the car can u wiggle the wheel.
if those are yes to all my questions - wheel bearing -------------------- the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.

could also be the heat shield for the rotors rubbing against the rotors while driving.

take a look at everyting back there...
make sure the lug nuts are on good and tight check how much brake pads you have left (on both sides of the rotor) and do the wiggle test. -------------------- the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.

jack up the rear of the car, remove wheel. remove teh lower bolt on the back of the caliper, twist the caliper up. remove brake pads.
or just take the wheel off and look at the brake pads w/ the caliper on. there should be no less than 1/8" of pad left. or else it is time to change. |

I had the same problem. Brakes were not releasing properly because of corosion of the brake cylinder. If the wheel is not spinning easily, this may be your problem. I had to replace the old cylinder with a new one and now the sound is gone.

well , i will jack up the car in a moment and take a look at the pads , if the master cylinder is bad , then shouldn't the noise be coming from more than one wheel ?

just finished my inspection , the wheel does not jiggle , the pads are still huge .... that only leaves the master cylinder malfunction ..... i will not bother with it until i am sure that i will either do or not do a swap ... because if i do a swap , it will come with the clip

the wheel doesnt have to jiggle for a bad bearing. my front bearing was toasted...wheel didnt wiggle but made a noise. a bad bearing can also cause the rotors to overheat and warp.

take tire off, use lug nuts to tighten rotor...with a jack stand, place pencil on rotor and spin it and see if it stays on rotor or if it skips.

it could be your e brake shoes. When they wear, they make a sort of squealing noise. does you e brake handle go all the way up ? does it stop/hold the car well ?

hmm , well , the E-brake does hold the car in place , even on really steep incline , but it squeals all the time ... like when i get in the car , the lil motion i cause makes it sequel .... ... but i dont understand how this will make a sound during driving with the e-brake down
