I have a 96 ss2 celica st202. Have had no problems with it so far however when im slowing down or just cruising at around 30 km/h i hear a faint knocking noise that sounds like its coming from the rear of the car. The noise doesnt occur under braking but i think the main reason i cant hear the noise at higher speeds is the engine volume at higher speeds.
Anybody got any ideas of what it could be? I recently had it serviced and im gonna be a little peeved if it was missed. |

sounds like a bad brake caliper bracket or it could be loose.

Just fixed this same problem on mine,,,,Brake pads are fine but it was the metal sliders,, I removed these an used plenty of "copper slip" break grease stuff,,,
Left those metal parts off, No more knocking This post has been edited by nyawton: Oct 7, 2007 - 4:12 PM |
