I have a friend who works in a bodyshop and says he can paint this job on my car for about $600 in total ($400 for paint and $200 labour).

He's going to just do it in his spare time, it will probably take a month or two. But still this seems way too cheap, i mean to get an actual pro to do it would cost over $3000. But he says the average person would not be able to tell teh difference kindasad.gif .

What do you guys think? I know like no one on this site has unique paint jobs and there is probly a reason for that.

yeap. price. jobs like that are costly, especially if u want it to be top quality and to last.

but, if its your friend, and its gonna take a month or two, i guess that price is okay for a hookup.

does that include prep work?

I won't say anything about labor, since he's your friend he may actually do it for that little but quality materials will cost more than 600 so I'd question a job so cheap even from a friend
