Ok, before anyone says anything i WILL BE KEEPING the celi. However i'm probably going away for college and my parents want me to have a newer car so stuff is less likely to go wrong. I'm not sure how much i can spend but i think between 10k, to 13ish.

I've really been thinking about two cars..

2005/2006 Scion TC

Pros;
-i love this car, body style everything
-made by toyota
-from what i understand TONS of aftermarket?

Cons;
they seem to be really popular
maybe a little pricey?

2004/2005/2006 Acura RSX

Pros;
-love the body style
-acura's are good cars
-a good ammount of aftermarket?

Cons;
-probably more exspensive
-harder to find (around me at least)

Anyone have any other cars?

I really love the scion tc. I've liked that car since it came out, but as much research i do on it, can't find out about the aftermarket really?

The TC is a good choice. If you want, try looking over t scionlife.com. aftermarket is pretty good on them, unlike my xb lol. You can find one for about your price range if you look hard enough.

definitely TC - the RSX is going to be alot more expensive than a used tC.

I love the RSX over the tC because there not everywhere but I would definitely take a toyota over a acura

in my area is almost the total opposite, there are a lot of tC's but God there more than enough RSX's is like every other kid has one, and the few kids that don't have one have the RSX's engine on their civics lol

tC anyday, the only thing I'm kind of disappointed about the tC is that the interior is not as nice as we have it on our celis, the interior of the tC feels cheap compare to my 6th gen. but anything else is nice.

I was close to buy one for 16300 2 years ago, but luckly I found my dreamed car, so the tC had to wait smile.gif

I would taka a TC over the RSX, although I dont think the RSX-S's are that bad. if that is all you have to chose over.

I got myself an 01 impreza RS, almost in your price range and its a great car very fun.

Id say TC, was looking at the both too. First off all my friends voted the rsx was a big chicks car.. yea yea... But its also harder to find one not raged out as much.

I just bought an 05 TC, I love it. I just put a full suspension and it handles great now. Its much nicer as a daily with the front and rear interior room. An the big sunroof is pretty bad ass.

no, Scion= wannabe Toyota smile.gif

between the two, I'd say RSX, going to be a little more expensive, but thier fast, stylish, and generally nice for being a new(er) intergra

edit: Just to let everyone know, I DO like TC's alot, but RSX's just seem to be a little better imo

RSX is my vote cause everyone and their mom drives TC's around here. RSX are faster and have a lot more potential

if price is an issue , i am sure you can get a used TC for under 10K , low miles too ... and then Supercharge it with a TRD supercharger ! probably will reach your price limit and will be faster than both RSX and a stock TC .... i like the RSX , but i think the TC looks better ..... the TC's interior is kind of cheap , but you can always add your personal touch ... hmm , oh and the TC everybody keeps telling me that TCs are girly ... but u shouldn't care because lets face it , girls drive everything , nothing is not girly !!

Well, here's the obvious question... is the rsx a type s? if so, buy the rsx, if not, buy the TC

Bugeye WRX's can be had for 12.5k. I'd say go for a RSX type S if you can find one in your price range. Maybe a 7th gen GTS? I wouldn't go with the Scion. They can look good, but it takes a lot of money to make them fast, and I see more girls driving them. If you went with the Scion, definately get black.

Celica GTS are on the money with your price range.. actually cheaper LOL..

Back to topic, If budget and "less fix" is what you need, get the vehicle that wouldnt be ragged on by the general population. Everyone and their grandmother thinks their a racer in a tC and RSX. Both are popular to the young kids that are attracted to FnF movies.. and the famous "its a girl car.." applies to just about anything...

I would pick tC.

You have our opinions, but get the car YOU want to get. Don't let a bunch of us influence your decision.
