Hey all,

jumped into the CeliPig last thursday after a moonlight gig and noticed everything was a little dim. After being "flashed" by numerous oncoming cars i stepped out to check the headlights. lo and behold! both lo-beams were off. still have running lights, still have interior lights and even still have foglights (that's how i got home). checked the fuses-- both left and right lo-beam fuses are good. i can hear the relay clicking but still no lo-beams. is there an easy way to test the relay before i spend 122.65$ for an after-market replacement only to find out it's not the problem. do you know how much beer you can buy for 122.65$ ?!?!?

so any help will be useful.

DUH!! no. i assumed since they both went out EXACTLY at the same time it was something else. the only thing i know that might burn them both at once is an electrical surge or short-circuit. the fuses should have blown too. i will check ASAP. so much for my troubleshooting skills thumbsdown.gif

It could be something else, the coincidence is strong. But you always start with the simplest explanation.

i finally got my hands on the CeliPig on Saturday morning. the left bulb was a mess. the filament was totally demolished...dozens of pieces and a blast mark inside the bulb. the right bulb looked OK, but the filament was showing "OPEN" on the meter. i guess i'll stick with the basics and do my troubleshooting from A to Z without making assumptions. we all know what happens when you assume, don't we?!?
