So the boots on my rear stuts are torn up, so it's time to replace them soon.
I've searched the stickies and looks like KYB GR2's are pretty popular, but also go soft pretty quickly..

That kind of gives me the sense that thier probably not the best to go with. So I'm just wondering if it would be worth it to go with the KYB's or should I look into another brand? I mean have they been able to hold up for those of you who have put the GR2's on your cars?

any input would be appreciated. Cause I know I'm not going to pay $150 each for stock replacements tongue.gif

the boots are the strut covers, why would you want to replace the whole strut if its not bad...boots are 15 bux each.

15 bucks each, WHAT???? Then checkers got me good. I had to pay 25 bucks each. But it also came with some cheap zip tie and the bumper stops.

well they're also leaking, so would that be only because the boot or might it be something else with the strut?

Eleven-year-old car, strut mounts might still be good, but if you're in there anyway....

Also be aware of the need to likely replace the rubber spring seat isolators (rears only require one per strut, fronts require two).
