All right I'd tried searching first but couldn't find anything basically I'm trying to find the easiest way to install my main power cable to my amp. It's a 8AWG marine grade battery cable and I have 25'. Thanks in advance.

Ur amp should have two terminals for power wires and one for remote turn on. Cut two wires to length (going from the batt to ur amp) label them (pos and neg) and then connect them:

from ur battery --> the firewall --> underneath the carpet --> then to ur amp.

Remember to place a fuse between the positive wire and within half a metre from the batt terminal.

Some ppl run their wire underneath the car to the back boot but ur wire isnt thick enough so its best to run them through the car.

For the remote turn on find the corresponding wire from the headunit and run it to ur amp.

Hope that helps.

Why does he need to cut 2 wires to length from the battery? He only needs the positive wire coming from the battery. The negative wire he just need to ground it on any unpainted metal part of the chassis. This will save him wire and is better.

There will be a place under the fender where you will be able to run the cable through and into the cabin of the car. I told LewFX where this spot is and it's where I ran my AMP wire as well. You will be able to see a hole from inside the engine bay which leads to the wheel well, and then into the cabin. A few other wires are ran through this route so you should be able to find it. Then from there on out, just run it under the carpet, and then under or behind a few plastic pieces and your all set.

Make sure the ground is no longer than 1 - 2 feet in length.

Yea, not to long, from amp under carpet to battery. And i think the best place to put the ground is right underneath the trunk. Theres sum ground metal down there that would be ideal for hiding that nasty wire.

Thank you for the input guys. I tried to put the amp power wire through the hole on the fenderwell, and into the cabin but I couldn't figure it out so I just ran it under the car.

For my ground, I used the one inside the removal panel on the side of the trunk area. Sand or steel brush that contact first. Also, make sure your Power and input cables (RCA cables) are not running along next to each other, they may cause issues. I ran them in opposite sides of my car. Sound results are awesome. I did it this way the first time and had a smooth install.
