I have a factory unit, that i tapped into the rear speakers to add another amp for woofers. I know this is line output. What is the voltage? 1.

REason i ask, is because i have found a power amp, but i raise the gain level all the way, and my stock amp makes the speakers sound louder thant my sub woofs... should i use a pre amp in between? this sucks

a good pre amp might clean up the signal a little but thats about it... its either the amp... whats the output? or in the wiring of the woofers.... an 8 ohm load to a small amp is not going to make any kinda power behind any woofers

you mean the woofers itself. Ill check the ohms.

the same system ive seen it behind a pioneer and the woofers kick ass with this jensen 600. Tapped into my radio its just like regular speakers.....

it has something to do with your amp and how well it handels the line level inputs.

Most amps do a terrible job converting high level signal inputs to clean sound. so you may have to get one of these:

my radio is not high level output. its the one that uses the factory amp, which is line level.

I fixed it.

A while ago I installed a OEM Double din 6 disc changer from a camry. Well i had to do a custom harness. Since the deck is a 20 pin, and our decks are 15 pin (amplified systems). Thats where i tapped the wires, they come directly from the radio. Therefore they are not high level output.

Now what i did, i had to go old skool, i had a Clarion 90EQ, that has outputs for woofers, so i decided to give it a try. Conected the EQ before the amp and bridged the channels.

Now i have to soundproof my trunk because my car now rumbles.

thanks to everybody.
