Recently linked up with one of my buddies and we thought of a crazy idea to come up with a quad setup for the celica, i though it was kinda crazy, meaning i didnt want to get flashed by oncoming traffic but we aimed the cutoff more at the ground. Its almost unrealistic, i think with this upgrade, im turning more heads and getting more looks, check me out customlightz.com

Night pics are coming soon, in the process of the setup it was an all day event, and we forgot to bring the camera. Pricing information is on the customlightz.com webpage, and if you want any other questions answered, email and a telephone is also avaliable on the page as well.

QUOTE(x_itchy_b_x @ Dec 17, 2007 - 4:40 PM) Pretty cool. how much those run you? It was an expensive upgrade, including all of the new ballast, new relay, and wiring. It was $900 plus, the high beams arent as expensive as the low beams, i believe there like $200 a pop, compared to the low beams being like $400 or $500 a pop. Adding on to that i have the rainbow effect when my cutoff is aimed at a wall, also with the crazy light flicker with the teal, blue, purple, etc. My buddy at customlightz.com can answer any of the questions you might have for him, its time to make our 6gcs one of a kind, hope i was a help to you. |

it looks like ithe shroud is an over mould of the jdm lights with some projectors popped in it or it is JDM lights just painted black..Looks good but its so expensive. We need somthing that is cheaper than JDM.

Yeah, what's the difference? Is something supposed to happen that wouldn't normally happen?

QUOTE(m0dd3d1 @ Dec 19, 2007 - 10:27 AM) Yeah, what's the difference? Is something supposed to happen that wouldn't normally happen? The high beams are HID projectors. JDM high beams are just regular bulbs with a clear lens. Some people have fitted HID to their high beams but even then their highs are projector-less. -------------------- Davey

There isnt a difference in the lights, everything on the car is all jdm, i like the white and black scheme, my car is white so i wanted my lights blacked out instead of leaving them with the stock look, the low beams are normal jdm projectors, the high beam are also blacked out but with a custom shroud, that the only difference, yeah its expensive but at night, when you can light up the road 2 to three cars ahead of you is amazing.

So about $800 for JDM projectors and another $1000 for the quad setup. $1800 not including shipping. I wish I was richer haha. They look awesome though.

Sure you can have my job lol, it was a real expensive upgrade, it was in the thousand dollars, the quad setup is basically wiring everything together, all new ballast, wiring, relays and the works. I did my jdm low beams first, and then i did my jdm high beams second, ran all the wiring so i would have a quad. The only difference in my lights are they are blacked out, they are regular jdm low beams if you take away the black paint on the inside. The only difference in the high beams is i have a custom shround which covers the light itself, also they have a projector lens thats why they look a little different from others.

Honestly i dont even know if that would work, i understand breaking the light apart and painting the inside of the high beam itself, but the glass i dont know if that would work or even perform how you would want it to if you would be considering the quad, if you just use regular bulbs for the high beams it would be a whole lot cheaper but remember hid looks a little sharper and its a whole lot brighter , i just chose to go all out, not many guys or gals in the part of va im from go to the extreme with there 6g s.
