it would not be an easy swap.

The 5mge and 7mge motors do not share any parts.

The motor mounts do not light up and I dont think the 7mge can bolt up the 5mge transmission.

just to let you know, this is a 6th generation celica forums. No one specialized in those series of engines.

I think you will get more help at other toyota forums.

False, is one of the easiest ( beside the 5MGE ) swap that can be done to a MK II ( supra ( 1983-1986)

.

the 7M is an upgraded version of the 5M, they share most of the parts

The motor mounts do not light up and I dont think the 7mge can bolt up the 5mge transmission.

motor mounts line up perfectly and the transmission is the same for both engines ( 5MGE / 7MGE )

I know this little but on the forums you have a lot of people who can talk about this for hours, people with a lot of experience, but the question was post on the wrong section, this belongs to the off-topic.

go to celicasupra.com there you'll find all the info regarding this and other swaps, they have documented swaps with people that drive and love these old school beauties.

Good luck
