i got a 94 celica that i wrecked and i want to buy an oem-style carbon fiber hood. what is a good brand though? i know VIS has a nice one but it's like $560. what about some of the ones that are in the $400's? but if i have to get the VIS one i will because i only plan on doing this once. myabe someone who has one on their car could let me know the brand and how it fits? cuz i want it to fit perfectly because im very particular about that kind of stuff....

I also have a VIS hood and it fits well. but the gap between the hood and fender on the drivers side is slightly larger than the gap on the passenger side, its not really noticeable at all but not perfect. For the money id say its worth it.

Seibon makes a nice CF hood, when I buy one I'll probably go with theirs.

I think for quality and value you'll want to get VIS. Seibon makes awesome stuff, as does C-One and Varis, but Seibon is on the pricy side, and the Varis and C-One will most likely need to be shipped from overseas, which just the shipping alone would kill you.

Go with VIS. Don't get a cheap off-brand, or eBay special. Because if you go cheap, your car will reflect this.

Good idea going with VIS. I received the parts in a timely manner all of which were flawless. Keep in mind like any kind of body panel alignment is needed to make it look and fit right. Whether it be loosening the fenders a bit and moving them. Be sure to check out your damage though. The front end of Celicas dont have much support, mostly all sheet metal style bracing. More than likely it is bent, to save some time and headaches diagnose your alignment problem first before committing to slap on the hood. smile.gif

yeah i already order the hood with a zyclone front bumper and z max side skirts and a z max rear lip. the only alignment problems im gonna have on the front is putting a new radiator support in. but that wont be much trouble because nothing else got bent. the radiator support just got bent cuz the hood folded up and it took the support with it. my fenders didnt get messed up or anything. and you were right about VIS, they are pretty quick with getting stuff out to you. they shipped my stuff out wednesday and they said i will have it buy monday or tuesday so i dont know how much quicker you could ask for
