How Loud Is To Loud!?!?!? Options

so i have been talking to this girl and she lives in this little kinda of hick town (we live in ohio) and just about every time i go out there now i get pulled over.. the first couple times it was for stuff i have been pulled over for before.. but all that has been fixed.. last night im drivin and this cop flys up on me but right when he gets close i pull into her drive way.. so he sits in the street waiting.. but i was there for about 10 minuts so he leaves but is sittin around the corner waiting for me.. like i said its a small ass hick town and it was about 12:30 at night so im the only car in town.. well sure thing i pull out and i get pulled over.. every time they do this they never even look at my license really.. but this time he tells me my exhaust is to loud i only have a st and i have my cat with a magnaflow muffler.. i mean i dont see them pulling over the 4X4 that are loud as hell or the super soud motorcycles... how can i find out if my car really is to loud what are the laws in ohio?? everything i look up about laws like that are for california.. how do i find out if it really is to loud?

if he waited for you because he knows your exhaust is too loud thats entrapment aka illegal to do lol but cops get away with **** like that all the time. your situation is kinda like if a cop sits at the corner of a street near a bar waiting for people that are gonna drive drunk = entrapment. i think 96 decibel is legal? i could be wrong

Wow. I'd move away, personally.

We use magnaflow on all of our cars because they are so quiet, and if you have a cat and a magnaflow muffler then I guarantee you that it's not "too loud". I would just be really careful about how you're driving there because obviously they've made you a favorite target.

thats the thing i kno they are lookin to mess with people so im super carful when im drivin there but i mean damn you can only do so much.. they are just coming up with reasons.. but for some reason my car is really loud.. but it cant be that bad.. i live in akron and i have never been pulled over for anything like that its just them small town cops with nothing to do at night.. i just need to find out whats legal

You tell that cop the next time he pulls you over that he'd better have a decibel meter with him.
I got pulled over one night.. about 11pm... in my swapped celi when I had a flowmaster 40 series muffler on it. Cop gave me a ticket... went to court showed them a receipt that I got another muffler and they dropped the fines.

That muffler was rediculously loud. I put a magnaflow on it and never had any problems after that.

So I doubt your ST is too loud unless you have one of those round fart can styles or something.

Oh and about the Flowmaster 40 series.. you could hear my exhaust rumbling a mile away. That was LOUD.
