Hey guys, I was just wondering if any1 seen a DIY for replacing the distributor o-ring...... I've checked 6gc and google - nothing.....I know it's not that hard but I also heard u can mess up the timing.....so a diy would help a lot.....or at least some pointers on how to not screw up

QUOTE(lazarpaul @ Jan 7, 2008 - 3:14 PM) [snapback]628970[/snapback] bump........anyone? its very easy to do, and also easy to do it without messing up your timing. use a match mark on the distributor housing and head, before you loosen anything, so that you will be able to align the distributor in the same spot. remove the 1 or 2 (depending on year) 12mm bolts holding in your distributor, then slowly wiggle it out. once you get it out, take notice of the position of the gear on the end of the distributor, it needs to be put back in the same position, then, remove old o-ring, and install the new. installation is the reverse of removal. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

thanks........I got it done in like 20 min and I was thinking to do a how-to on it but it's just too easy......if any1 else dont know how to do it just pm me.
