I got hella board the other day and started to just look at random things online. I came across a "front mount air intake". Basically, it looks like an intercooler but instead of an intercooler it is an air filter. What do you guys think of this? What would the major pros and cons be? I do realize that water would be one of the major ones, that is a given...

1) this is almost as bad as that 'turbo simulator' for your exhaust.
2)it probably won't be getting much more cold air flow than if you had your filter behind your wheel well or around that area 3) basic complications like rocks, water, and little animals seem to outweigh the benefits (if any) 4) come on now dude, ''interfooler'' do you wanna be one of those guys? -------------------- **If you play My Brute, joing the 6gc.net clan!**

I wanted one for a while cuz I knew i'd never turbo my car... but the cons def outweigh the benefits... go with a nice short ram intake or cold air... you will be much happier.

Dang Tony You took my word man. I said that awhile back when some posted a pic of one of those. IMO the intake is only for ricers. And the biggest con would be hydrolocking your motor. Your chances of doing that is huge. Plus I think those come with this plastic screen thing that goes over the front to protect from dirt and rock chips all that crap, but by putting a plastic cover over the front what happens? You're not getting any ram air into your intake.
