Has anyone ever installed a turbo timer in a 5sfe? I know it sounds kinda dumb but you do not need a turbo to run one!!! Anyway....I am getting ready to put one in and thought it might make my job easier to ask someone on here first. I would like to know the location and colors of the wires to tap into. Or if someone has a manual that can look up a few wires for me, that could help!
GT-4 people might be able to help me out???? The wires can't be that much different?? I really only need : speedo wire, ign on, start, ign acc, and emer brake!!!! Any info is welcome... -------------------- |

How did you manage to use your e-brake circuit? No matter what I tried, I've never been able to tap into the e-brake circuit for my remote start.
Also, did you tap into the driver's side door pin in order to turn off the lights once your car shuts off? -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

All you need to do is find the:
ACC wire... I used the one that goes to the clock Batt wire... Can hard wire to fuse box or tap into any pos wire that is always on IGN wire... he was right it is the black with orange stripe(not sure for the st ) all you need to do is hook up a multimeter to it and turn the key to that position and see if it gives you a voltage.(just to be safe for you st people) Ebrake wire... under the center console right where e-lever is (one wire) I actually have not hooked up the speedo wire yet and it works already ???? (I am having trouble finding it) That is an interesting point about the headlights but i always turn mine off before i get out of the car so i will have to check on that???? Good look on that! -------------------- |

I dont have a speedo with mine, im assuming that the HKS one has that so that it can automatically set the timer. I think i have that i have to check but i have A/F ratio, O2 sensor and voltage in mine, and its the size of a pen.
On the GT the Battery wire is white, the IG2 is Blue w/red stripe, and the IG1 is Black w/Orange stripe. The ebrake is just the single wire that plugs into the brake, i used an electrotap and its really simple to use, no cutting or splicing. -------------------- |

DG,
Did the TT fit right into the clock like that? I was going to put mine there or under the radio. -Bryan- -------------------- Member of Team 5sfTe

Bryan,
No it does not fit right into the clock space but it is only off (vertically) by about 1/8 of an inch so it was really easy to take and file it down. The width is pretty much right on and you only need to widden it slightly (paper thickness). Anyway it is worth the small amount of work that it took to make it look that good. It really looks like a stock item in the car if you do it this way. Hope this helps you, DG -------------------- |
