Will a 17 in wheel with a 225 50 zr17 94w fit on my car?
Sorry might sound dumb but i have no clue?

I think presure2 runs a 225/45 and he loves it, not sure if the ones im talking about are close to them.

That's a big tire... you'll probably have some rubbing issues if you're lowered. Best size is something like 215/40 or 215/45. Biggest I'd go is 225/40 or 225/45 on a 17x7.5 wheel... but i think 225/50 is going to rub depending on the wheel's width and offset.

well, I think it would fit. 225/50/17 is a little less than an inch taller on the sidewall than a 225/45/17. meaning it'll be less than 1/2" bigger on each side of the tire if that makes sense. anyway, a 225/45 will look better and probably be cheaper because it's a more common size. but 225 is the maximum width tire for a 7" wheel. anyway, if you aren't making crazy amounts of power with a 3sgte, 5sfte, 7afte, 4agze, etc. then you'll be fine with 215/45/17 or 205/50/17. and those are cheaper tires than a 225/45/17 anyway.

also, seeing as you have no clue what any of this means probably. the first number (205 , 215, 225, etc.) is the width of the tire in millimeters. the second number is the aspect ratio of the sidewall in relation to the width. within two tires of the same width, a smaller number is a lower profile tire. but, it's a ratio, so it depends on the width to determine how much sidewall there is. for example, a 215/45/17 and a 245/40/17 both have the same diameter of 24.8 inches, even though one is a 40 series and the other is a 45 series. the Z stands for Z-rated, meaning it's capable of handling high speeds (149+ mph). the R means it's a radial tire (and any tire you're gonna be considering is a radial tire). the third number is the diameter of the rim in inches that the tire fits on. 94 is the load rating, and the W is a speed rating as well that tells you more specifically what the maximum speed the tire can handle is. in this case 168mph. hope that helps!
