ok, i have a 95 hatch st automatic, i want a 200hp+ manual, should i swap out the trans for a manual, then swap a 3s-g(t)e into it?

or just enjoy this one for a while and look for a gt manual, and swap that?

idk if im stubborn, or sentimental... but i do love my car...

your thoughts...

^^ x2. I think it would be cheaper and easier to do it while you already have a manual.. But then again you would still have to find one that is selling for a decent price kindasad.gif

lol... what does age have to do with this? Anyway, I think option 2 will work best for you. Patience is a virtue you know.

nah... it doesn't matter how old you are... there is a member here that has an Audi TT, a Beemer and Celica(not sure if I'm right about the cars but he has a TT) and he is only 18. If you have the money or if you know what you want for your car then go get it. You can never spoil your baby too much. But then again, right decisions only comes once. Its kinda ridiculous answering a question with another question, isn't it? If you asked for an advice and somebody asks you a question answering your advice... would you get the answer? or get confused? No offense 808, you've got a point there too but this is my opinion on this matter. wink.gif smile.gif biggrin.gif

your car can get stolen or f***ed up no matter how old you are or where you live, it's just more likely that someone will try to mess with you if you are an idiot and go race/show off/be a jerk to people on the streets. Anyone can use your license plate # against you.

Dude, the ST is a great fuel efficient daily driver. Keep your eyes open for a GT that's body is in good condition but has a blown motor. Usually people get rid of em for cheap. Then swap the motor out and voila! fuel efficient daily and a monster toycar.

No, no, no. He's ending up with an ST with a 7A. And also ending up with a GT with a 3S.

This was my plan when I was looking for a Celica to buy. Problem is, that Toyota makes their cars too dang well. tongue.gif Look around. It's honestly almost impossible to find a Celica with a blown motor. Mine now has 225K, and is still going (fairly) strong.

yeah, i did find a few 5th gens with blown engines, but....its not a 6th, so that doesnt help.... there was one 96 gt, with a blown head gasket, but it was 3000 and it needed serious body work, and had 298k miles.... little ambitious for a seller eh?

That guy is retarded. From what you say that car is worth $500 - maybe a little more cause of demand.
I'd say keep looking.
