in all reality all most of the 205 clips are coming from japan where they can't be driven anymore cuz they won't pass emissions. they have really strict guidelines from what i hear. i want to find a way to bring one over as a kit car. that's how my friend got her jdm integra type R in the states. she only paid like 10k for it with only 50k miles on it. i'm sure there has got to be a way to get one in the states.

Well I believe Toyota made 205 of those models. You might want to comfirm with your dealer.

99% of st205s will find their way to the UK at some point where they will continue to be cherrished and well looked after cars....I`m sure that there are many thousands of them left..plenty to go around...I wouldnt start worrying just yet. I guess it will only become a problem when you start chopping up perfectly good cars to get front clips/engines and there are only a few left.

Theres 30+ for sale on this site alone

LOL

They made a LOT. That's what Toyota do.

I think there were 2500 of the WRC limited edition made IIRC.

Yes, there is some recertification process and fees that Japanese cars go through, if they cannot be passed, they are usually sent overseas to like UK or Russia or wherever. Sometimes Japanese junk their cars even though they are still good condition. Thats why some junkyards, you could actually drive a car out because they are still working. Other way to bring it into the US is to front clip the car and bring it in as spare parts, should be enough to do a full swap.

Japanese cars are sent abroad after a while because when a car in Japan reaches a certain age the road tax on it goes up dramaticaly and most people either cant afford to or dont want to buy older cars....hence they get sent here cheap.

Too bad we 1) can't import them from the UK, and 2) the dollar tanked YET AGAIN last night and has become a worthless piece of ****.

edit: I want this one! http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/c...mp;max_mileage=

edit again: I'm not usually one for red, but I think I want this one instead (or TOO!)
