I cant believe no one has posted this yet, but if they did i failed, hey i looked. Anyway all the country boys round here are just pissed that a foreign automaker won. I told all of them a couple years ago it wouldn't take long for Toyota to grab a win lol
historic day maybe if the success keeps up Toyota will really make a new sports car instead of just rumors -------------------- |

That Toyota is the only car in the series, that the car it is basd on, is built in USA, as the others are made in Mexico etc. Brutal fact, that would make country boys suck ****s. -------------------- |

I don't see the point anyway. The cars in NASCAR are so regulated the only contest is in the drivers - not the cars. Of course I never understood the point of a race that consisted of 2000 Left Hand turns and 1000 straight aways anyway.
Ralley is the true test of driver and machine. -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. X2;
i never understood NASCAR; i think performance enhanseing drugs would be no-doz because your running 300 circles; and have to slow down when everyone else is getting gas & tires... It's not a race; it's a fcukin... roll-along... -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Damn D-Man - most impressive. i think both sports are just good excuses for us to have a bbq and drink. nascar is cool with a buncha people that know about it, rallys are cool cuz you get to go to different places n maybe even camp.
i dream of going to the nurburgring and camping out -------------------- Pandelica 2.0 in progress. |

Each motor sport has its own uniqueness. Each motor sport is a test of driver and the machine.
From what I see it, the REAL true test of driver, is the one who is able to succeed at multiple kinds of motor sports. A sport can be boring to watch, but it's never skill-less. This post has been edited by tomazws: Mar 10, 2008 - 7:07 PM -------------------- |

its too bad the speed channel canceled their WRC coverage and put in nascar.
every single time i turn it to the speed channel its something to do with nascar which IMO, is probably the most boring sport to watch along with golf and baseball. For some reason driving around an oval for hours on end just seems like a pointless waste of fuel when you could actually be challenged by the course your racing on. Grats to Toyota though, maybe now they will start making some cars worth some sporting events in the next 10 years This post has been edited by Celiracer18: Mar 10, 2008 - 8:07 PM -------------------- -Brian

The most legendary Special Stage on the whole WRC-series, Ouninpohja in Jyväkylä´s Neste Rally Finland got taken away from the WRC because it dot too dangerous. Well, see for yourself: HUGE JUMPS and CRASHES on Ouninpohja http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rgEFZYjD-s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SXKRNZmr60...feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whBtnPasQp0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zazSe1oVd30 The driver Mikko Hirvonen says in the one film that "its a great stege, but its so fast that sometimes i´m scared driving on it" -------------------- |

I was watching the speed channel on my phone (Because I don't have cable at the house :-( ) and the funny thing is that even though Toyota wins, there was this D1 Grand Prix World Championship Event (Drifting) and an American (USA White guy) won the drifting championship with a (Falken) Mustang! A first for an American, I say congrats! What is this world coming to?
Oh yeah, Vaughn Gittin JR was his name and I found an article here if you can't find the video >>> http://www.vaughngittin.com/news/index.php...view&id=200 This post has been edited by Random_Stranger: Mar 11, 2008 - 8:12 PM -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204
