Hi, i just bought a 96 st, its my first car and was looking for a good intake. Ive looked and found nothing but k&n for my car. i was wondering if there are any other good intakes out there, and if k&n is a good brand. ive heard it wasnt that good but if thats the only thing available i would get it. thanks.

I have a friend who loves his K&N. Although there is other brands. HKS, Injen, Weapon*R that I know off the top of my head. Me personally, just going to go with injen for now because it is the only one that I know of that is carb approved or whatever.

I have a K&N 57i Series in my car, the box says it's carb legal, and I've definitely noticed a (albeit small) gain over the drop-in K&N filter I had before that.

ARE WEAPON R's GOOD?? All GT intakes work for ST's, the cone will be touching the battery though since the GT engine is tilted back. I have the Weapon R, but be honest... aren't all of'em the same? Add $50 or $75 more, and you can get a carb legal Injen one. -------------------- |
