Well, after having my car for 3 years now, my car makes a ton of noise from the suspension. It clunks, squeeks, chirps, bangs, etc. So, now i got some time and im making enough $, i figured i would do a complete suspension renovation.

So far, my suspension consists of GT4 rear strut bar, J-Speed front strut bar, Twos'R'us end links (F+R), poly uerthane sway bar mounts up front, S-techs and KYB GR2s.

What im planning on doing is gettin ST suspensions swaybars, new controll arms for the rear, TRD strut rod bushings (on there way right now), new ball joints, tierod ends, upper strut mounts or camber plates (depending if i can find some cusco ones), and re-finishing my rear subframe and front controll arms (powder coating and new bushings).

So far, i got the new ball joints and tierods and my TRD bushings are on their way. I figure after im done this, the car should ride like its brand new and factory. Ill keep you guys posted with my progress. The work should start in maybe a month or so's time. I just gotta find the parts first.

well you know what all i had done lately:

TEIN s.Tech
KYB GR2s
rear swaybar mounts
rear endlinks
new 17" rims and tyres (yes, they're an important part of your suspension !!)

just to let you know that nearly everybody that can compare before and after have said it "rides like brand new" and "it's so quiet now". no more clunking from the rear (the loose 2x4 sound), thrumming (that annoying whompwhompwhomp from the front end at 110km/h), shimmying (bent rims w/weak front springs and tired front struts) and pulling/drifting (never able to get a true alignment). You on the other hand are going "all in" with the reno. you will definitely see, hear and feel like brand new, we are talking bright shiny penny new, first leaf on the tree new, wobbly legged foal new. do you denote the jealousy in my tone yet? looking forward to the updates, brother.

peace.

well..quick update..no work has gone into the car yet, just because i havent been driving in for the last 2 days. I found out i have a pretty good sized brake line leak now. So i now have to either A. Replace my perportioning valve, or B. run new lines from the front of the car to the back. Also, when i was puttin my summer rims on (before the leak started), i found that i blew my front drivers side shock at somepoint. So now thats another 2 things added to the list. Im gonna be ordering a new shock for warrenty at my work tomrorow since Nader is gonna b taking the ones we have instock tomorrow for his car. So i should have all my parts here by the end of the week. If not, im gonna personaly drive down to Texas and smack Jeff from Toyotaworld in the face. He said my bushings and thermostat were sent out 2 weeks ago, and i still havent got them yet. But, once this is all done, it should be good.

lol... i hope you're kidding, right? Anyway, it sux to know that you're ride is giving you all this trouble man. hope this all gets fixed right away and be ready for the Sherbrooke meet. Oh yeah, I was at Windsor today to pick up Mike's rims. Looks like everybody that is going to the meet is preparing really well to have a nice ride. I myself might get new shocks and brake pads as soon as all the expenses for my daughter's first bday is done. Hey Brian, where is the shop your'e working at again? Do they have kyb's? if so, how much?

my shops at 1100 the queensway in etobicoke. i txted u the prices of the shocks.

Anyways, quick update, i decided i couldnt wait any longer, so the cars in the shop today gettin the brake lines done. It should be done later today or tomorrow afternoon. And im still waiting on my bushings mad.gif , but im gonna b placing an order for my shock mount today too. So every thing is ready to go except my bushings and shock mount. So once the brake lines are done and every thing comes in, the car goes back to the shop and should be knocked off within a day or so. I figure if the car is done by this afternoon ill throw my sparcos back in it later today..if not then i might do it tomorrow after work if im not dead tired and its not raining.
