Okay, so call me dummy, but does it matter what type of muffler I get? I see turbo and n/a I have future plans to go with a turbo, but if I go turbo and get 3" piping, would I need to get a downpipe and other things or what? If at least one of you just shoots me a message that might list what muffler is more suitable for my car (not looking for performance, but want to have one that will have use for future engine swaps and etc, if I can have it on a stock 5 engine. Okay thanks.

if your planning to turbo your car,yes you need a downpipe, if you have a 3 inch exhaust you would need a 3 inch downpipe so the turbo can breath right. i hope your not planning to turbo your car anytime soon, do alot of research to get a succesful turbo setup.

Nah, not any time soon. I would swap the engine and such before that even were to be a thought. So what muffler should I go with then? Is 2.5" just what people get and if so, would that be fine for my stock gt engine? Some people have 3" piping, but I dunno if they are running turbo or not. Anyways, the best recommendation for my stock car with custom piping and perhaps a very loud but California safe (no tickets) muffler would help.

Thanks

^^ X2 ^^

There are two lines for titling and describing your post: use them.

A quick question can turn into a good discussion or a specific how-to. Think ahead and make your post worth while.

Well I wasn't sure if someone already asked this or not so quick question was to get an answer and then move on. But thanks for your contribution to this thread, that was very insightful.
