Well Saturday I was cruising 410 in San Antonio w/my friend, putting miles on the Integra I built Friday, at about 75. Wasn't speeding, racing, or putting any unnecessary stress on my car at the time. Well an incline came alone and my slushbox decides it needs to down shift. So I'm going up a hill at about 4.5K rpm. and i hear this quiet tapping start. then it slowly gets louder. I call up my friend real quick and tell him i blew my engine, so we pull over at the next exit. I top off my oil and we decide to go back to where we were staying that weekend. 10-15 miles away. So I drive back. Tapping slowly getting worse. So by the time I get into the Garage I'm stuck w/ this:

Ouch bro - sorry to hear that. Swap it - you already have one small motor and a 1mz-fe swap ought to be a peice of cake

I can't check the video [I'm at work], but I'm assuming you have rod knock.
You most definitly have a chance of the engine running fine if you just replace the bearings, but there's no guarantee. It all depends how badly you damaged the crank [if any] while you drove it like that. Parts for this will be relatively cheap, 8 bearings [or 2 if you just do 1 rod], FPIG or silicone and exhaust gaskets/bolts/nuts. Labor is a bit more, probably 2 - 3 hours. -------------------- |

I spun all the rod bearings on a Talon TSI i had and then turned the crank cause it was scored, replaced the rod/main bearings and then drove it for 250 miles before it spun another bearing...problem was in the oil pump, it got all chewed up apparently.
