I'm looking for some aftermarket speakers to replace the front door speakers. I can't seem to find any 8" speakers anywhere. Everything I find is 6 1/2" and they all say that I'd have to mod the door to make them fit.

stock speaker size is 6.5" although it's a 8" hole. if you have the premium sound door panels however it'll have 8" speakers on the bottome, 4" up top, then the tweeters.
i would like to upgrade my doors however to 8" speakers or better yet, new door panels, get alpine 4s and try to find some alpine tweeters.

i used the kicker ssmb8's and they sound great, but they require some modification to the speaker mount and door....not bad though...in lieu of modifying the mount you can angle the speakers up and at the seats, but you have to use longer screws to accomplish this....with the right amount of power and correct x-over, they rock.

You can also buy some of these:

to fit 6.5" into the front doors.
