what do you mean by "inside of my tire"? Inside on the tread? Inside on the sidewall?

I think he means that the sidewall is rubbing on the strut/spring, meaning his wheels have an offset of ~+45 or more

Or he's got crazy negative camber and the inside tread is rubbing the strut.

Model: ADR SOKUDO
Size: 18x7.5
Bolt Pattern: 5x100/5x114.3
Offset: +42
Color: Gold W/Polished Lip

Sounds like a alignment problem

nope...not alignment...its rubing on the corner where the side wall and the tread are, almost literally rite on the corner and its seems to be about a 90 degree indent from whatever its rubbing on

If it's right on the corner it is you camber. You've got too much negative camber. You need to go get an alignment/ buy a camber kit.

i had a slight rubbing problem awhile back and it could be noticed on places where the metal was clean or you could see small cuts in the outside tread on the tire... def take it to a shop and see what can be fixed

My celica just had one of the tires blown on the highway, i looked at it and could not figure out what was wrong, than i took off all four wheels and noticed ALL 4 sidewall of the tires rub on strut and shock bars. Since i bought my car from my buddy who didnt take very good care of it i realized i need to replace some major parts. By the way the tires are 215/45-17. Someone mentioned spacers are recommended, i may replace all four tires, lower it, redo alignment, and brakes, hoping to get it in better shape.

For 17's i think you have too high of an offset.
