i messed up my steering pretty badly i think. it normally takes 2 full turns to the left or right but after my accident. turning left i need an extra turn to turn the way i normally make a turn. turning right is normal because i did not get hit on that side. i damaged only the driver side. i have no idea what is wrong besides that something is broken. any ideas what it could be? any info would help, thanks guys

hmmm this is a trick situation to diagnois because it might be mulitiple parts that are damaged.

do this test:

Put a peice of tape on the very top of your steering wheel and count the turns and take a note of how many turns it take to go from center to lock on both directions.

If one side requires 2.3 ( random example number of turns) and the other is 2.8 turns. Then it is possible the rack and pinion is damage.

But if its just the ammount of effort/energy it takes to turn right is harder then turning left then it might be a bent shock tower throwing your caster off.

have you taken your car to get a full alighment, they might beable to give you some information on whats wrong. But some shocks are tards and don't know jack. So bring it to an alighment shop that is friendly and willing to listen to your problems.
