Can anyone help me? I checked the fused and its ok, but the cigerette lighter and radio won't power up. I did notice that the fuse keep going off when I plug in my cell phone charger. So I replaced the fuse, but now its doesn't come on and the fuse if fine. Is there another fuse that I need to also check? If so where is it located? Thanks

Which fuses did you check? Just on the drivers side under the dash?

Check the fuses under the hood, if the one labeled "Radio NO 1" (or something like that) is OK also make sure that the fuses in the places that are marked with a just an X in them also are OK, this was what happened to me when my GPS ate some fuses, it ate the one under the dash labeled something like "CIG & RAD" which you probably already have switched and it also ate one under the hood which was in one of the spots that just had a X on it, took me a while to figure out so hope it helps.

I check the fused under the hood and it was blown and had it replaced, but the power to the radio still isn't coming on. Anyway reasons why? I didn't try the cigerette lighter (afraid it might blown more fuses). Any suggestion would be greatly appriecate it.
Thanks -Pong |

Ok I figure out what happen to my radio. I had the wires connected wrong. I didn't realize the color doesn't match up to what is on my radio harness. Anyway I got that figure out, but now my cigerette lighter isn't working. How can I test to see if the lighter itself isn't working or if its the cable from the car that isn't working? Thanks

my friend used to use a bunch of things that plug into cig lighters. things like mp3 adaptor things, chargers, etc.
then one day, cig lighter stopped working and radio stuff wasn't working either. turned out it was 2 things: first, a fuse was blown and replacing that fixed radio/center console stuff. 2nd, the cig lighter was brokn and needed to be replaced. it was because those things that she kept plugging in/pulling out wore it out or something and replacing it fixed the problem. nvr really heard of that happening to anyone else tho -------------------- |

Be sure that the 2 connectors behind the cigarette lighter are connected.
You might also have fried a wire... I hope not! Do you have a stock amp? I mean do you have the 6 speakers system? If so, if you havent plugged ur radio properly, you might have fried your amp, and its the amp that gives the power to the radio. I know that cuz thats what happened to me. I plugged my subs remote with the stock amp remote and ended up frying the stock amp, fuses and the DVD AVIC N-1 -------------------- |
