I was just thinking how long its been since we had a Houston meet and thought we should. I know i have some new treats to show off, how about everyone else?

What do you guys think. I could meet up on 8/10/08 and i could get panda in on it on that day as well. But i think it should be on mine and Pandas side this time around since we come to you guys everytime.

I suppose i could always post-pone it to the following weekend, It'd probably be better if i waited for the Ms. to get paid aswell before starting something new. All i've gotten recently was a ct-26 Turbo, 3s Downpipe, 3s exaust manifolde, intercooler, 3s oil-pan, some gauges, turbo-timer harn., turbo-lines (ect.) But not enough to have anything of SHOW quality

BTW - to all who thought stock boost everywhere was 10-12psi on 2nd gen - ask Darth Ripley - ST-185 alltracs are limited to around 8psi from factory [Also I have had many MR2T owners tell me the same thing about their stock setups].

Sounds like we're on pretty similar footing 02bluerolla. I'm also 2nd Gen GT4 swapped on stock boost. TMIC vs FMIC should work out in the wash if we're both at 8psi - if anything you should have the advantage.

if we weren't having such bad overheating issues we would think about driving down & hanging out with ya'll.

my credit card # got stolen & a lot of fradulent charges got made - to the tune of $900 - so that has REALLY set me back on ordering parts for Vadar, including the most important which would be a new thermostat, water pump & a radiator

and yes stock boost on a 2nd gen 3sgte is 8psi whether it came from an MR2 or a ST185.
one other thing to add, a JDM ECU has no bearing on the stock boost, it is also 8psi on a JDM motor.

we're running a JDM ECU which does have more aggressive fuel & timing maps than a US ecu, as well as a higher boost/fuel cut at approx. 15psi
there's lots of info on mr2oc.com regarding a jdm vs. usdm ecu.

This does sound like fun - the reason we said Baytown is because the south siders requested a meet on their side of town and they are the ones who started this thing so... [But yeah Seally does sound cool - Baytown is by far my least favorite track since it has the worst traction for FWD cars. I can only imagine how long this car is going to spin in the box there ]

Brandon's (big body that likes to run his mouth) parent's sign shop at Bingle and Hammerly has an aluminum welder I think, but I'm not sure how much harder it is to weld aluminum than it is to weld regular SS or other steels cuz I was gonna ask to use their welder to clean up my pipes once they were fabbed.

I've got like two leaks at the top of my radiator.

What are our radiators made of? B/C a few months ago, Claudia's radiator sprung a harline crack on the top (it was like ABS plastic or something) and i layed a heavy coat of fiberglass resin on it, and it held for about 3 months... it may have went longer, idk, but i wanted to replace it b/c she'd be screwed if i wasn't there to fix it for her

i do honestly want to go but unfortunately the thermostat isn't the only problem
there's dried coolant around the water pump & a little puddle underneath it on the concrete - so the water pump is on its way out too

the motor has to be pulled to do the water pump, so we're going to park Vadar for now & do a complete overhaul this fall when the weather is a bit cooler.
he'll be better than ever with lots of upgrades, more maintenance & some pretty goodies

if we can make it we would have to show up in the MR2 or my Camry.

Well Snap already said he couldn't make it, Darthripley and Justjoe are doubtful and the day sleepers have fcuked up schedules so I'd say we need two meets. One for the Daysleepers side of town and one for the track on a day when everyone who wants to go can.

i have a 5sfe in my Camry but it's just slow & n/a & reliable - nothing out of the ordinary there.

why don't ya'll meet up on Sunday the 24th so panda & havoc can make it.

we can see about coming down in a month or so for a seperate track meet.
it'll give us time to get the AE101 small pulley S/C installed & Spal fan on R2 + I need to get a better boost gauge + maybe get the A/C recharged.
we'll have the extra cash to spend on gas for the trip & the weather will be a tiny bit cooler maybe then too.
