i was on my way to the 2nd day of auto-x 2day and my car shut off on my 2 miles away from the track. after fumbling around with it and getting help over the phone from art here is the info i have gathered - plugs are dry - battery is fine - YES i had gas! - no spark - rotor isnt turning i plan on checking the fuel filter tomorrow before i get into the timing belt art said it was most definitely the timing belt but i have yet to check it. just wanted to get some last minute opinions 3 1/2 hours later timing belt on and the car is running again!!!!! it wasnt too hard my buddy and i took it apart and put it back together in record time!!! Well if your rotor isn't turning then, more than likely your timing belt broke on you.

timing belt if rotor not turning is it a non interference engine same as the 3sge engine

im not sure if the 5sfe is or is not a not interference

it isnt. opened up the casing and indeed the belt had snapped

I think the 5sfe are non interference I believe.

Yes its non interference. Just put a new timing belt on. Whille you're in there change out the crank seal and water pump.
