Hello all.

Just wanted to share what I have going on. I've been ordering parts here and there, waiting to complete an exterior change. I envy those who have completed the GT4 looks and now its my turn. The projectors cost me $388 for lows and $224 for highs = $612 total including shipping. I also have the bumper, but it was sitting outside in the garage and too lazy to bring it in. If anyone has hood vents or GT4 bumper turn signals and grills to sell - let me know. Also looking for a passenger side skirt - gonna try the junkyard first though. THanks

Also will be taking the car in for a repaint color change to most likely a pearl cream kinda color. I'm expecting to spend about $2500 - $3k on the paint job alone. If any one on here is from DFW TX and knows of a reputable paint body shop let me know too. Thanks

Interior plans are to fiberglass the dash along with most of the interior pieces and create a custom kinda look and replace the seats . Don't like the dark look inside. Looking to get cream colored seats.

Hope to get the car done by the end of September.

semi before pictures -- the car was picked up today and towed off to body shop. here are some extra before pictures.. To save some money - i took off what I can for them and the parts will be reassembled by myself once ready -- i was told 2-3 wks to complete -- in order to save cost I decided to stick with Red -- its gonna be a birghter red though - I'll be on vacation for 2 wks, so hopefully the car will be done when i get back home.

Update on top. Can't wait to see how the paint quality turns out. this is where i went to get the job done http://www.xtremecollision.com/ they seem to have an online update, so i guess i'll make use out of that - luckily they are only about 10minutes away from the house, so I can check on it daily if i wanted.

yeah, this was closer to home so i thought i would be able to check on it and stuff. I guess for convenience you do have to pay a price. I will definitely have to give them a call when I get back home, but I'm gonna try to ask my friend to probably drive it to that place after I call them. He's the only friend I have that knows how to drive a stick.

Just called my dad and he convinced me to do the body work ourself to save on money. For one its gonna be a fun father and son experience and second its gonna be hella cheaper than taking it some where. Don't know what the final results gonna be, but shouldn't be too bad since he's done it once before. We have all the necessary tools, just need to get the supplies. Paint - sandpaper, etc. Welp gonna update as we go along. Now gotta start shopping for primer, base, clear.

Hey, this is a cool thread!!! I ahve jsut installed a GT4 bumper and bonnet myself!!! But I couldnot get the damn thing on with the original crash bar in front, and the GT4 crash bar would not fit...How did you/are you overcome this problem? Without the GT4 crash bar I cannot seem to mount the GT4 fogs either which is a pain in the ass!!!!

I also forgot to get the brow bar that runs accross the top of the headlights which now leaves a gap between the brow and rubber bit between the bonnet!!!

Any suggestions would be great!!!

Unfortunately I lost my digi cam some where during my vacation, so no pictures yet. Update is that it was taken to a shop recommended by my brother who took his car there and will be painted tomorrow, I hope to get it by next Tuesday. I'll borrow a digi cam from a friend or so and I'll take pictures cause I can't wait to see the out come myself. I want to share this moment with every 6gc fan. Its like expecting a baby on the way. Man I'm counting down days.

P.S. the father and son project didn't work out to great cause quaility was not what i wanted, but it was a good experience for the both of us. maybe next time we'll be a bit more patient with time and do it slowly. my accord is next up in line for a body paint job.

Hey how do you cut the impact bar for the GT4 bumper? Mine is coming soon from the paint shop and I need to find out how to cut that bar. I know you use a sawzall, but where do I cut it? Like side ways? How short? I need to see pics or explained in detail.

I didn't call - I just figured if they didn't have it - they would le me know. What I have noticed after ordering lots of parts from them is that parts comes from different locations and not just one dealership. I guess where ever its in stock in their database they would ship it from there.

On another note -- I finally got my car back Saturday and started to put the bumper and head lights back on - then forgot that i had to cut the crash bar to fit other wise the fogs would not go. Was getting late and had to go to the meet and other stuff . I need another camera -- Hope to post some more pics soon.

Excellent, definitely good looking. Good advocate for the wingless look and clean wheels as well.

I'd have to see detail shots of the interior, but I don't think a cream interior would look all that bad.

crash bar - cut it - go to stickies for a how to -- latch - how to stickies -- but i basicly am not using the safety latch, if you use OEM fogs - then its a direct fit as long as you get all the necessary frames.

Quick question: Do you still need to cut the USDM stock crash bar if you are not planning to use fog lights in the 205 bumper?

The crash bar needs to be cut for the bumper. The fogs are a different story. If either the crash bar was modified you won't be able to mount the fog brackets normally without modification. unless you use the st205 frame rails and crash bar, basically no mods to anything.

no - not yet -- recently purchased JDM tails and fiber carbon spoiler - changed out the interior to factory (for now) -- currently in Beaumont for work, so not sure when I'll get a chance to take more pictures. -- Been wanting to get updated pictures to share - Hopefully soon. ---

I left the 6g back at home, driving the 7thg for work.
