in my AUS 97 SX when i start driving i get some knocks (sound) in the front right wheel well, after driving for a bit (sometimes u dont get them at all) they go away and its all cool, but me and my dad had it up on the hoist and the CV and all that is tight as and we dont know what it is.

anybody got any ideas?

I get these noises too I'm pretty sure, is it worse when its a cold morning? how many km's on your car?

mines gto bout 230xxx, i couldnt tell you with the cold mornings tho im on my Ls for another month and dont drive my car that much but yeh

Hmm I'm not sure what it would be the best thing would be to go get a check up at pedders, I'm going to sometime cause I'd like to get this problem sorted too.

But also check if its your shocks because if they are original they probably need replacing anyway.

haha best bet would be to get it checked out, probably isn't anything major and our cars still handle with bad shocks, I mean compared to commodores and such.

haha yeh true, it handles better than my parents mazda2 and tarago haha its a bus tongue.gif and commodores are just sh*t, more common than @$$holes

Could be wheel hub bearings. Both of mine went out at 220k miles. They cost about 200 each side with labor.

thanks bro, although me and my dad dont think that shud be a problem coz teh woman who owned the car got them replaced for teh rwc (got receipts)

but the other day mid afternoon warm temperature there was no noise so maybe its only ween cold or something (as said above) :s

Lots of noises happen when cars are cold, some are easy to find some could just be one loose bolt that is hard to find, one word pedders haha.

haha oh ok, well I guess just book in for a check up at a local shop I just said pedders cause its $14 for an inspection and they specialise in suspension.

any of you guys have any updates on this? I just found out that the shaft on my car is already broken on the passenger front side. I might need a new axle assembly, yes? no? I had the same knockin sounds... I would really appreciate it if somebody would point me out on the right direction. Thanks all and sorry for jacking up the thread.
