I am thinking about doing the custome turn signals from the how to section and i was wondering if it was legal to put a color other than amber in for the bulb. I am doing my whole car black with red accents and lights so i was gonna try and match. thanks

I think amber is the only legal color.... I got a ticket for having blue bulbs in my sidemarker lights...

I think In aournd here (VA) like u its Amber or White in the Front and Red or Amber in the Back no Blue's. Anything else u could get pulled over for impersinating a police car or what ever it is.

yea generally red, amber, and white are the only acceptable colors
except white in the back is a reverse light, so u cant have white turn signals in the back i believe, and i aint sure about reds up front, ooo looks like drocay has it right there a bit more consice. but hey if u want to go with other colors, try it out, see if u get in trouble. but yea blue will usually get u in trouble. never heard of any problems with other colors tho. |

reds in front is illegal. I know from personal experience. Had red park lights on my truck at one time, cops told me to change them. Then just 1 side was red for a long time cause a bulb burned out and I was too lazy to ever buy a clear bulb. Cops never bothered me with just one red... so ya thats my experience, atleast with Oregon cops

Yep, as long as you've got white(not hyperwhite, just regular white with no blue) or amber in the front, you should be fine, at least in Washington state. I had hyperwhite turn signals and sidemarkers, and I got pulled over, and my friend ended up getting a Minor in Possession of Alcohol ticket because of it, and my car got searched and stuff. I was stopped for like 1.5 hours at 1:30 in the morning, and I felt really bad for my friend, because this was the night before graduation.
The moral of the story is to stick with what's legal, especially if you drive lots of drunks around. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
