idk i thought that ur must be elderly or the car had to have been in a wreck. elderly because airbags hurt like hell and can possibly kill people over a certain age. i think its like 60 ot 70 haha

I always wanted to get this type of steering wheel design,

The yellow part is where you can rest your thumbs.
Super comfy, I usually go to the store just to hold this.
You would need a Hub adapter and thats pretty much it. You can also remove the wheel since it slides off when you push down on the hub and pull.
Great if you don't want someone to steal your ride.

just get the 7gc or the rav 4 steering wheel or any other 3 spoke steering wheel from toyota, at least you can still have your airbag that could save your life someday.

alright, check out you local laws regarding airbag safety and stuff, if its legal then start shoppoing for the aftermarket steering wheel that you like if it is not legal then you can gamble in putting an aftermarket steering wheel. Just hope that you don't get a ticket for it. As for the installation process, check out the stickies and how to's on this site, should be almost the same as installing a 7gc steering wheel.

your local laws at WWW.USA.GOV

Otherwise you'll need a steering wheel hub, i believe NRG makes one for our car. biggrin.gif

The '99, MKIV Supra, 7GC, Rav4 etc all have that same design where the yellow is on this one as well as the little swollen part just above it. They also have compatible airbags.
Just FYI

Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them.
