took about 4 hours to do mainly because i had to figure out which wire went where and ran into some problems. also took a dinner break

its really cool. has remote start and a turbo timer feature. after i got fed up with trying to figure ouyt the wiring i came to this site and found instructions!!

now if you are a small guy, it would be a hell of a lot easier to install than it was for me. i had a really hard time fitting down by the pedals and i hurt my back but in the end, it was worth it. i was not going to pay $160 to have the $100 alarm installed, lol.

im still not done though, i have to find a better mounting place for the antenna and i cut one of the wires to my boost gauge and it doesnt light up anymore. i'll take care of that tomorrow.

Sounds cool man. What kind of alarm is it?

Also, for your turbo timer feature, when it turns off the car, does it turn off the headlights as well if you leave them on?

its no bigger than the alarm remote that toyota gave me. and it weighs about the same as well.

the LCD is pretty good. its not very detailed but it gets the point across and you can tell what its showing.

i have a problem though, i fried my driver's side power door lock switch so im gonna go to toyota today and order one. its covered under my warranty but i will tell them i just want the part and that i cant afford to not have a car for the whole day when the job is a 5 minute job max.

that and um, im pretty sure i voided my warranty, maybe not with the alarm, but im pretty sure everything else did.

I liked that feature where the lights shut off automatically but now with the timer i gotta turn them off manually.

I've tried so hard to isolate the wire that controls just the driver's side door pin in order to do this, but I haven't had any luck. I guess I'll just rip out the backseat and the side panel to tap directly into the wire from the sensor sometime. wink.gif

Mine kinda sucks, It has probably like 200 feet actual paging signal, but it can arm and disarm it from probably a quarter of a mile away.
