I'm about to compete MECA SQF Street. Just wondering if anyone here does. I have people I can talk to but just wondering if anyone here competes and what class and organization they compete in. I have a friend, a guy I used to work w/, that won SQF at NOPI Nationals IASCA in '07 so he definitely will be able to help me.

The street class in MECA uses only stock speaker locations which with my 8 speaker stock setup in my car will give me a little advantage over most. Most cars dont come stock w/ 8" speakers in the door panels. I'm going to be getting a three way speaker setup for the doors. I'll be putting up some pictures of my new subsetup in the trunk very soon. And yes I know SQF the subs in the trunk will practically not be on. Gonna be fun.

no body? That's crazy. Well we'll see how well I do. Next week I'll be meeting up w/ a friend I used to work w/. He won the Ultimate Amateur Class at Nopi Nationals in '07.

I'm gonna be changing out my HU for a high end Alpine unit.
Either getting the Alpine IMPRINT setup or stand alone EQ. The imprint setup will allow me to adjust all my frequencies through a laptop and microphone.
Dynaudio Esotec 362 3 way setup in the door.
probably get dynaudio's MW162 woofer for the rear. But SQ is setup for front stage so they'll be hardly used.
Also have my two 12" SL7s in my trunk but again they will hardly play at all.

Gonna be fun. I'm excited because being a former home audio salesperson I know about imaging and phasing and what not and it's gonna be a challenge and learning experience to tune my car to perfection.

Ready for some nice trophies.

Good luck. I have no idea what all that means, but I wish you luck in winning.
