Well ran across a WRX today at a local shop, has been rolled over. Everything works still runs and drives no problems, just the body damage which just is the roof, one fender, and the front bumper ( still in decent condition). The sunroof is still in good condition just scrapes and dents right behind it.
The car only has 60,000 on it. Think it was a 2003 not sure.

They are asking 7,000 as is...will try and get some pictures soon.

Sound like a good deal?

I wouldn't pay that much for any rolled car 'as is.' Salvage title?

Its basically only good for parts, and the 02-05 wrx drivetrain is only worth somewhere near 5K.

I say buy low, and buy a rough mid 90's impreza L coupe/sedan/wagon and swap it all in - including interior. The dash and stuff bolts right in. Door panels might not, but seats will and dash for sure.

Hmm.. That seems like a little much for a car that has been rolled over. I personally wouldn't want it. The damage to the roof would cost WAY too much to fix if you decided to do it (and I wouldn't leave it damaged. That's just me though.) However, I do like 95CelicaST's idea of swapping everything into the shell of an Impreza.

That's too much for a rolled car. I sold my 02 WRX with about the same miles for $10k over a year ago, and my buddy just sold his 03 with about 55k on it for $11k, and his had a 2.5 litre swap, different gearset, aftermarket wheels, turbo, injectors, exhaust, tuner, in-dash GPS, etc.

Then your friend got ripped off - I bought my stock 03 with 55K for 14K

I throw the BS flag on that. No clean-titled WRX with around 60K miles is going for $6,000.

ops i meant to say 8-10k depending on year and condition. but my best friend did get a great deal. he bought an 02 with 78k miles for 6.8k. the deals are out there, you just have to catch them at the right time. plus for a rollover, you can find one with higher miles for around the same price without the damages. there are some in craigslist that are listed at 8-10k in good condition. check those out

Yeah he did get ripped, but he also need out of it fast for financial issues. I was just proving my point that the deals are out there, there's been other comparable deals I've seen on the local Subaru forum.
