I have decided to not worry about swapping my engine out, and to just keep my 5sfe. I decided to just keep my Celi as a daily driver and save up for a more powerful car(such as supra, rx7, vr4...). BUT.....i still want to give my car a little more umph so that it is more fun to drive. The highest i would want to go would be about 180-200 hp. And i know that this has been discussed before, more than likely but i got tired of looking and looking through the old forums for info that wasnt there....soooooo....can anybody help me out with some parts(besides the obvious ones) that could give me some hp. And if you can where i can get those parts. Thanx!

well, you should start off with the basics of simple intake and exhaust, than it is rumored that you can get like 40hp increase from the intake manifold off of a jdm 3s-fe, and crane cams has cams but they aren't very economical, west minst claims you can get 30 hp from them, other than that, lightened flywheel, pully, advance you timeing

1-Intake
2-Exhaust 3-Header (Pacesetter 3s-fe works on the 5s-fe with very little modification) 4-Cams 5-UD pully 6-AFC 7-bored intake manifold and throtle body 8-5 angle valve job 9-flywheel and clutch 10-high compression pistons (this would have to be custom and you would probably want to get a new head gasket also) 11-Some type of engine managment system This is basically what you could do, not sure how much hp you would get but I think you would have little trouble reaching 200. It will put a nice sized dent in your walet though. You could also ignor the things I put and just get a turbo with low comp. pistons and that should get you 200 easily. |
