Hi Guys, I have a 1994 Celica GT with 105000 miles that I brought recently. I noticed that there is this rattling/cracking sound that seems to be coming from the right side of the vehicle sporadically when I'm going over uneven roads. Over smooth roads or highways, the noise more or less disappears. I'm guessing that its the struts, so I've recently purchased a set of 4 KYB GR-2 struts (yet to arrive), but I'm a little worried that it might be something else. Have any of you ever experienced similar problems before? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. smile.gif

When I was running RallyCross I came across a similar noise. I thought it was the strut, but it turned out to be a missing bolt on the caliper and the noise was the caliper bouncing on the rotor.

An easy way to tell(without taking the wheel off) if this is the problem is tap the brakes while going over a bump that you know causes the noise, if it stops while the brakes are applied, then it's a bolt.

But if it is a bad strut, the new set should fix it.
