I found a really nice 94 celica in perfect condition, bright paint etc..

But it has 208k miles... Now, i was planning on doing the 3sgte conversion anyhow, but i might not be able to afford it for a few months..

well, as long as it runs well to you should buy it, but how much are they asking, find out if they are mostly highway miles.

make sure you get it inspected, good luck

I bought my celi with 186,000 miles and it now has 203,000 with no problems I paid 2,500 for it, but then put 2,000 in it afterward. the only reason that I had to put so much money in it was becasue it needed the tranny rebuilt, and a new clutch. Plus I had most of the belts and well just a realllllllllllly good tune up.

If you are 100% sure that you are going to do the engine swap then you should get the car. If there is a chance that you might not do the swap then you might regret getting the car later on.

if the price is good yea get it... cause even if your don't do an engine swap you can always rebuild that engine and it's a celi.... one of my uncles is still rolling around in his 83 celi with well over 300k miles now... remeber toyota makes engine to last longer then the drivers...
