I think my stock speakers are a bit lacking. Does anyone else feel this way about their ride? If so, what speakers do you recommend (the 4 stock speakers are 6.5s correct?)? Are Xplods any good? What does your car got? How's it sound?

Go to
www.thezeb.com
Look into a pair of CDT Audion CL61a's. I have CL61's and they are great. The only difference is in th color of the paint. They have em for $150 a pair plus free shipping. Even if you don't get those speakers you should definately buy from them they are cheap and have great customer service.

just save your money and get those JL ones...thats what most people do. just save their cash then get something better later on...its worth it in the end.

Well the first mistake would be to buy from circuit city or any large chain store. My friend bought a pair of pionner 6x9's and they came with a huge tear in the cone. But here are a few that I would recomend for that price or less..

CDT CL-6X
Pioneer TS-D160R
Pioneer TS-C1653
Rockford Fosgate FRC3206
Visonik V603DS (never actually heard this brand but has been highly recomended)
Cerwin-Vega Vega6002
Alpine SPR-174A
Infinity KAPPA63.5I
Kicker K6.2

The retail on most of these is more than what you are looking to spend, but go to www.thezeb.com or www.ikesound.com and you should be able to find them at around that price. smile.gif

And it never hurts to check ebay.

Check out Sounddomain

They got MB Quart DISCUS DKD 116 for $89.99.

I've got a set of these in my doors and I love em. I used the grill ring they came with as an adapter plate. Mount the speaker to the grill ring center it in the stock location and notch the edge of the ring so the screws hold it in.

Get some componets and an amp. A little pricy but well worth it.
