You could try this.
Or if you do yourself a favor and do a Search you will find out that it is subjective to many things that only you can answer. Do some research, read the stickies, and figure out how involved you want to get.

Yeah dude, search function and stickies are your friends!!!

And your question is pretty broad... it's all very opinion-based.

This is a pretty hard question to answer, it depends on preference, purpose, goals, money,

Or this?

Just add some Ebay chips and your ride will be legit. Seriously search around.

Ive owned alot of engines, 4age, 5mge, 4afe , 5sfe, 1mz, 4me, 7afe

although i havent owned em all or even the best, I still like the 4age, The 3sg and look awesome, same with the 7mg and 2jz

Even though its a small displacement motor, theres something about making a ****3 tonne of noise at high tune. - 4AGE

5mge, ive tuned to make alot of power, well torque anyways, that motors got balls and it continues down the lineage to the 7m and 2jz even though its a different family, they are cousins.

The 3s series is a beast and look forward to getting my hands dirty,

and then theres always your frankenstein engines, the 7age and 9age beasts that put honda engines to shame for NA performance, ok maybe not the k24 hybrid they could be a match, but all the other ones. - ive heard of a mysterious 9age engine that talk has been floating around that is putting down 300 HP from close to 2 liters. 150 HP per liter....Insane.
