So i was taking the wood grain on my dash off today and to get the extra adhesive off i used googone, never use it on your car. I learned this the hard way, cuz it ate through the gloss on my dash trim and also through the prnd21 panel on my auto trim. I can deal with the trim and just sand/paint it but the auto shifter panel is messed up. Does anyone have one that they could sell me cheap?

Yeah, Goo Gone and Goof Off fog the hell out of plastics. I'm fairly certain there's a way for you to be able to re-clear the plastic piece you're talking about... I think you could probably sand it down and polish it with some fine-grit sandpaper and compound. If not, flame-polishing it might also work.

I assume you know how to get it out? I never could figure out how to get that panel out the "proper" way. I always got stuck with getting the shifter knob out. Do you happen to know where the overdrive switch is plugged into so you can pull the shifter right out?
