I will warn you, I have done searches, but I haven't quite found exactly the information I need.

I want to know if the ST front discs are the same size as the GT rear discs. I'm looking to do a drum to disc conversion, but I want all new rotors and pads. I don't know if I need two different rotors or not.

Also, for the parts that I need... I know I need all of the mounting brackets and the calipers and the e-brake cables. Do I need anything else? If I just get the mounting brackets and e-brake cable from a junk yard, can I order OEM replacement calipers fairly cheap?
Did more research, need calipers and backing plates. My other question still stands.

Pulled this list together when I was working out my own rear disc brake conversion -- though mine was for a fifth-gen.

For 5SFE-powered Celicas:
Front rotors
90-91 255 mm diametre, 22 mm thick, 54 mm centrebore
92-93 277 mm, 25 mm, 54 mm
94-99 275 mm, 28 mm, 55 mm

Rear rotors
90-93 269 mm, 10 mm, 54 mm
94-95 269 mm, 10 mm, 55 mm
95-99 269 mm, 9 mm, 55 mm

For 4AFE-powered Celicas
Front rotors
90-91 238 mm, 22 mm, 54 mm
92-93 255 mm, 25 mm, 54 mm

Unfortunately, I couldn't find rotor sizes for the 7AFE but when it comes to front and rear discs on Celicas there is one major difference: the fronts are ventilated while the rears are solid (note the thickness of the front versus rears for the 5SFE rotors). They are not interchangeable.

Can anyone tell me if I get GT brakes, if my stock 14's will fit around them?

Front GT rotors will not Work with ST front calipers

GT rotors are a little more bigger than the ST so the caliper will not work

I'm in the process of the rear disc conversion, and maybe order ST front Rotors and GT rear Rotors from Ebay, all these depends if I find some GT front calipers

for 14' wheels I'm not sure if it handle the GT rotors + calipers, if I'm right GT 6 gen celicas came with 15' or 16' from factory

I hate to bump this so quickly, but I need to do my brakes this week, and I need to know if I will still be able to put my tires back on afterwards.

GT brakes in the front will not fit in 14" wheels.

ST front rotors will not work for the rear.

GT rear disks on the rear only

front:

ST rotors + st calipers (wheel 14" +)

or

GT rotors + GT calipers (wheel 15" + )

are your only options

I know that I can't interchange rotors and calipers like that. I was getting calipers from a junk yard. I just wanted to see if I could fit my tires over the GT discs in the rear.

So my 14'' rims definitely won't fit over GT rear brakes?
