Brembo blanks, Hawk HPS pads, SS brake lines, ATE super blue brake fluid, OEM calipers

(you could also search this forum, since we covered it about 1-3 times a month wink.gif )

SS lines are just rubber lines with thin steal around them kindasad.gif kinda waste of money IMO

Ive got brembo blanks, hawk hps pads and who knows what kinda fluid with stock hoses.

The SS braided lines do make a difference, it reduces the line from expanding in diameter, = greater braking force.

Just get some rotors at autopart store, save yourself a ton of money its not like your cars gonna fly 200MPH down the road or something and you need to brake on a dime or your gonna hit a baby deer.

Pads roughly $120 for F and R with Creamic pads
Rotors around $200 for F and R.

Calipers around $100 for both front
Caliper for both rear $150

It breaks down to quite a bit, but I doubt you need to replace your calipers or your brake lines unless there leaking like no tomorrow or they have locked up.

I just did my front brakes this last weekend and it costed me only $30 for new rotors for my front, because my Pads were lifetime so I just got another set for free (Ceramic pads) and the guy forgot to charge me for 1 rotor so I basically got 1 rotor for free. Overall I spent 30 bucks and got new brakes for the front.

I have Brembo blanks much like most people on here and am waiting for the arrival of my Hawk Ceramics. I looked at HPS but I wanted something with lower dust.

Thx for all the advice guys. and as for this ^... I'm not sure if its just me, but this forum structure really seems to have a weak search feature. IMO of course. I did look, trust me smile.gif

How do the OEM pads and rotors compare? I'm close to needing some myself and I already need some stuff from 1sttoyotaparts.com.

Rotors it would be a close call...But Brembo is known for being Top notch in the industry.

pads, they will be far better than OEM
