Need some input on which car to get...the celica is out of commision for the time being so need an immediate replacement as a daily beater.

Also, does anyone have carfax to check out these numbers?

Being a former owner of a 2002 WRX I voted for that. I'd make sure the timing belt was replaced at 105k, but otherwise the car should be good as long as it wasn't beat on too hard. Even if it ends up needing some work down the line, I'd rather put some money into a car like a WRX than something with a salvage title. Every car I've owned that was salvaged ended up being a nightmare.

Oh and if you look at the WRX put it thru it's paces and make sure it shifts smoothly. Any mods to it or anything?

I would only say WRX if you are going to swap the engine and transmission after you buy it. 135K on a turbo car that is known for being beat on is going to mean potential problems. That's why their resale value takes a dump after 100K.

So with that being the only non-salvage car I am going to pick that.

i chose the wrx, paying 9g for a salvage car makes no sense, and is asking for trouble.

No, it looks like a hooker put her acid vag on your hood. Acid vag = bigger problem than a few dings.

i voted for the only stick shift, but after seeing you are planning to DD, the Prius is a good contender.

I think you need to sit down and decide what you really want...because that is a ridiculously broad choice of cars. But I'd go for the tC or WRX...but I wouldn't get a salvaged car either, so WRX it is.
