So I decided to get brighter lights for my backup lights today because they looked more yellow than anything.. So I bought some superwhite lights.
I put one in to compare, and it looked good. So then I put them in both. I threw it into reverse, and the lights didn't work. I turned my car on, and the tach, speedometer, and temperature gauge don't work, either. I called my friend and he said it sounds like a popped fuse... But I took them out and checked them and they look fine. I also put the normal bulbs back in to see if that did anything, same problem. Turn signals, front lights, break lights, all that stuff works fine. Any help? -------------------- 1996 Toyota Celica GT (GT4 conversion) - SOLD :(

Well you did pop a fuse. I'll have to look and see what the specific name is, but I had this problem when I put my Omori's in my WRX. Assuming the same sort of thing applies, since wiring is wiring and fuses are fuses.

Every once in a while, a fuse won't look blown even though it is. Figure out which fuse is for your reverse lights, and replace that anyway and see where that gets you. It can't hurt anything.

yeah i had that problem as well with the car before my celica the fuse was cracked barely and you'd have to put it under a microscope to see it, you might as well try to replace all the fuses, wouldnt hurt to check eh?
