1999 Toyota Celica Stock Suspension: 4-wheel independent MacPherson suspension with offset coil springs, low-pressure gas-filled shock absorbers, ball-joint-type stabilizer bar and subframe information from http://celica.henryvo.com/99specs.html When I purchased my car, I got something called the sports package. It included the 15" alloy wheels and other stuff which I can't recall. (does anyone remember what was included in this package?) If any of you heard of this dealership package deal, did my celi come with the stock suspension mentioned above or something different/better? I can't tell from looking at the car. Question: If I get Eibach Sportlines, will it be fine with what I have (nice ride)? Or do I have to change the shocks and struts? Are the shock absorbers I have fine or should I get the KYB-GR-2's. I don't have the cash for both right now but maybe I'll save on labor if I do the EIbach Sportlines and the Kyb-gr-2's at the same time. If what I have is fine than I'll just get the Eibach's only (low on cash and saving up for 17" rims & tires). |

Right now I'm saving for rims and tires plus the eibach sportlines. Will there be a significant different feel from the Kyb's versus my stock shocks when I'm driving? If there's only a little difference than I'll stick to stock for now but if it a noticeably better ride then I'll wait longer and save up for the Kyb's. I plan to do the rims/tires and springs by the end of April and if you think the Kyb's are definitely worth it I'll save and have everything done by the end of the summer.
Even without any body kits, the celica is a great looking car. Just by lowering it and throwing some larger rims makes it 10x sleeker! I'm trying to be patient, but looking at everyone's cool rides on this site is killing me! |
